The steel has just the right amount of bite to realign a rolled edge without hogging off metal. I keep it hanging by the bench and give my chisels three or four light strokes before each project. My edges have never felt this consistent.

Keeps my chisels and plane irons touching up nicely between full sharpening sessions. The steel itself feels solid in the hand, though I wish the handle were a touch longer for my grip.
