Swapping between drilling and driving is seamless thanks to that 18-volt motor, and the chuck grips bits tightly without any wobble. It’s handled a weekend of shelf assembly and cabinet hardware without bogging down, which is more than I can say for my old corded drill.
The grip is perfectly balanced, so even after drilling into hard oak for an hour, my wrist feels fine. It’s a basic kit, but the chuck holds bits rock-solid with zero wobble, which is exactly what I needed for cabinet work.
The torque on this thing is no joke—I drilled through three layers of hardwood framing without the chuck slipping once. Battery lasted me a solid morning of cabinet work, and the grip feels balanced even one-handed.
