Cutting tapered plugs that actually sit flush took me a couple tries to get the hang of, but once I did the fit was tight enough that no glue gap showed on walnut. The saw leaves a clean edge too, way less sanding than my old flush-cut setup.
The flush-trim saw pairs perfectly with the cutter—I’ve used the set to clean up oak plugs and the saw’s thin blade leaves a surface that needs barely any sanding. Having both tools in one package saves me a drawer full of guessing.
The tapered cutter leaves a surprisingly clean bore, and the saw’s thin blade tracks straight through the plug face without any tear-out. Worked perfectly for a batch of cherry plugs I was finishing this weekend, and the whole set feels solid in the hand.
