Allbäck pellavaöljymaali, englantilainen punainen

I used this on a pine dresser and the English Red is that deep, classic barn red you just can't get from a modern acrylic. Dries slowly, so you have time to work it into the grain, and the linseed base leaves a nice matte finish.

The consistency of this paint is wonderful—it spreads like thick cream and levels out to a smooth, brush-mark-free finish on my window trim. The traditional linseed oil base leaves a tough, classic look that feels like it’ll hold up for years.

The color depth is exactly what I wanted for my window trim—that classic English red feels rich without looking plasticky. This is my first time using linseed oil paint and I'm impressed by how smoothly it brushed on and how the wood grain still shows through slightly.
