Odies Super Duper Everlasting Dark Oil

A couple of coats on an oak shelf and the grain just pops — that dark, rich finish is exactly the look I was going for. Dried to the touch faster than I expected, so I could move on to the next project the same afternoon.

I’ve used a lot of finishes over the years, and this one gives the richest dark tone on my walnut shelves without any blotchiness. It soaked in evenly and left a smooth, natural feel that really shows off the grain.

My workbench drawer pulls finally match the walnut shelves, and the depth of that dark oil finish is exactly what I was after. One coat was all it took to bring out the grain without looking painted on. For a finishing product, it went on surprisingly smooth with no blotchy spots.
