Bloco de Bordo Burl Estabilizado Tingido de Roxo

The purple dye really pops once you hit it with a finish, and the burl grain is so tight and intricate that every angle shows something new. I've turned three pens from this blank so far and each one peeled away to reveal a different pattern.

The grain on this blank is incredible—the burl pattern twists and swirls so evenly that it almost looks painted. I’ve cut into a lot of stabilized blanks, and this one holds its shape beautifully without any tear-out during turning.

The purple dye really pops against the burl’s natural figuring, and the stabilization makes it feel solid and dense under the gouge. Cut into a small bowl and the grain swirls are just stunning, zero tear-out.
