Lee Valley Collinear Hoe

The long handle means I can weed standing up instead of crouching for an hour, which my back appreciates. The blade slides right under the soil and cuts weeds off at the root with barely any effort. Spent a whole afternoon in the beds and my hands weren't even sore.

Weeding between my carrots used to wreck my back, but the way this hoe's head lines up with the handle keeps the blade flat on the soil so I barely have to bend. The edge slices through chickweed with almost no effort.

The collinear head really does make a difference — I can weed a whole row of carrots without bending my wrist at some awkward angle. Reaches right between tight plants without disturbing the ones I want to keep.
