The 5mm orbit chews through old finish way faster than my old sander, and the low vibration means my hand isn't numb after a full afternoon. Seven speeds give me fine control from rough stripping to final smoothing. Glad I finally upgraded.
The brushless motor is the real deal—it ripped through a thick oak door in minutes without bogging down, and the low vibration kept my hand from going numb. Honestly, the 71 dB rating undersells how quiet it feels next to my old sander.
I was a little worried the low vibration claim was just marketing, but after a full afternoon of sanding, my hands feel almost normal. The 5mm orbit pattern really does chew through material fast, and the 71 dB noise level means I can actually listen to a podcast without cranking it to max.
