The edge held up through a full afternoon of planing figured maple without any chatter, and the finish came off glass-smooth right out of the box. These are the first blades I've used that feel genuinely ready to work with zero fiddling.
Finally got around to swapping out the stock blade and the difference is night and day—that precision-ground edge took the tear-out right off my walnut pieces. The finish is so smooth I almost don't need to sand.
