The flat bottom on these is absolutely crisp, no tear-out at all even on the cheap plywood I tested them on. I needed a few half-inch deep holes for some cabinet hinges and they came out perfectly clean, exactly what I was hoping for.
Drilled some shelf pin holes with these and the flat bottoms came out perfectly clean, no tear-out at the edges. The partial-depth holes sit flush and true, which is exactly what I needed for adjustable shelving. These are now my go-to for any precision work.
Finally got around to testing these on some oak for shelf pin holes, and the clean edges at the bottom are exactly what I needed for a snug fit. They cut through without any tear-out, which is rare for a partial-depth hole in my experience.
