I was skeptical about how much difference a small diffuser could make, but after three months in my damp shed, my hand tools are completely free of rust spots. The fact that it works passively without any power or refills is a huge win for me.
My garage cabinets used to smell musty every spring, but since I hung these diffusers near my drill bits and hand saws, everything comes out bone dry with zero orange flecks. They work quietly in the background, which is exactly what I wanted.
Three months in my damp basement workshop and not a speck of orange on my chisels or hand planes. The diffusers just sit there quietly doing their job, and the protective environment they create has honestly saved me from constant re-oiling.
