I was a bit skeptical about mounting it under my desk, but the retractable mechanism tucks away so cleanly that I forget it's even there until I need to plug something in. The arm pulls out smoothly and holds position just right when I'm charging my laptop.
The way the retractable arm tucks away when I'm done charging is such a space-saver, and the mount itself feels rock-solid against my desk frame. I love that I can pull it out, plug in two things, and push it back without any cable mess.
I mounted it on the side of my monitor stand, and the fact that it tucks away flush when unused keeps my desk looking clean. Sliding it back out takes one hand, so it's actually more convenient than I expected.
