I’ve used this on a few shelves and the graphite gray is exactly as deep as the photos show, plus the linseed oil base gives it a rich, almost velvety look once it dries. It took a solid day to cure, but the final finish feels sturdy and worth the wait.
The brush glides so smoothly thanks to that traditional linseed oil base, and the paint has a matte depth that makes my oak shelf look almost charcoal-black but still shows the wood grain. It took a full day to fully cure, but the finish feels rock-solid now.
The color is exactly the deep graphite I was after, and it leveled out beautifully on my window frames. Even better, the linseed oil base means I could clean my brush with just mineral spirits and a bit of patience.
