The blade seating was dead simple, and the balance through a full pass feels like the tool is doing half the work for you. Stock removal is smooth and predictable, exactly what I wanted for flattening boards before the jointer.

The depth adjustment is buttery once you dial it in, and it takes surprisingly thick shavings off rough stock without chatter. Only gripe is the tote feels a bit square for my grip, though I’ve gotten used to it. Solid choice for fast smoothing work.
