The matte finish on my oak trim looks like it's been there for decades. Drying time is slow, but that's the tradeoff for a linseed oil paint that actually bonds with the wood instead of sitting on top of it.

The brush glides on like a dream, and this Époque shade brings exactly the muted, old-world tone I was after for my shelf. It dries to that honest matte finish without needing a topcoat, so the grain still shows through nicely. Two coats covered everything evenly, and it feels properly durable alrea

Took me a while to find a paint that actually delivers that old-school look for my window frames, and this one’s got it. The coverage is solid and the linseed oil base means it levels out nicely without brush marks. Cured to a proper matte that feels like it’s been there for decades.
