The right-hand orientation makes all the difference—I can actually see the cutting edge as I work, and the plow design glides through hard maple without binding. Grooves come out dead-on square every time, which has cut my box-joint prep time in half.

Finally, a plow plane that doesn't fight me on the push stroke—the right-hand design puts my wrist in a natural line, and the depth stop holds its setting through a full run of drawer sides. Grooves come out crisp with zero tear-out on the maple I tested it on.

Grooves come out dead straight once you get the feel for the plow’s balance, and that right-hand setup really helps keep your wrist from tiring on long runs. Only wish the depth stop had a finer adjustment, but for box joints it’s been spot-on so far.
