The chip breaker seats perfectly against the blade back, no light gaps or fiddly adjustments needed to get a clean cut. First plane I've set up where the shaving comes through paper-thin right out of the box.

After honing the blade on my water stones, it took an edge that's noticeably sharper than my old plane iron—the high-carbon steel really holds it well through a long session of figured maple. The matching chip breaker locks in tight with no gaps, so the shavings come out in clean, tight curls instea

The chip breaker seats flush against the blade with zero gap, and the O1 steel took a scary-sharp edge on my water stones in under ten minutes. Planing figured maple feels noticeably smoother than with my old setup, and the set came ready to tune right out of the box.
