Bought this for weeding between tight rows of carrots and the curved 3 1/2" prong gets right in there without disturbing the roots. The stainless ferrule feels rock solid where it meets the handle, though I wish the tine were just a touch wider for bigger jobs.
The forged tine is solid and the beech handle feels nice in the hand, but the single prong is slow going in my heavy clay. Fine for light weeding between rows, just don't expect it to break up anything packed.
The curved 3 1/2" prong digs into my clay soil better than the old hand rake I had, but the lacquered beech handle gets slick once my gloves are sweaty. Does the job for loosening weeds between rows, just wish the grip had some texture.
