Hock A2 Blade & Chip Breaker Sets

I’ve been using these on my bench plane for a couple weeks now, and the A2 steel took an edge that held up through some gnarly figured maple without a hint of tear-out. The chip breaker mates to the blade cleanly, too—no fiddling to get the gap set right. Definitely worth the upgrade over the stock

The chip breaker seats tight against the blade right out of the box, no fussing with the fit. My plane is cutting crisper shavings than it has in years, and I'm kicking myself for not upgrading sooner.
